'Twas two nights before Christmas and all through the ski house, not a creature was stirring, not even the laptop mouse. Every couch, every chair and even the floor, were littered with sliders, too tired to snore... When all of a sudden there arose such a clatter, the fireplace rocked and the roof seemed to shatter! She woke with a start and jumped up from the floor; rushed down the stairs and threw open the door. He stood in the snow with bloodshot eyes and a grin, decked out in Spyder from toes to his chin. "It's Christmas my dear and I'm here without fail. It's SOTC Santa with Sliding on the Cheap deals, sent to you FREE through worldwide email!"
Hello Sliders!
The SOTC CREW just finished 7 days of non-stop skiing and riding. The question we get asked every day, besides, "when will it snow?" is "how are the ski/ride conditions?" My response is, excellent, if you understand what is available to you and your family.

*Do You Like To Ski or Ride?
If you're Ski/Ride crazy like we are, you'll have a great Christmas Holiday in Lake Tahoe, and you know what, the POW is coming. Do not depend on your local Bay Area "Expert" who more than likely, does not have a clue as to what the skiing is like. Send me a note at kwtinto@aol.com if you need an update from the SOTC CREW. We were on the slopes TODAY and will be TOMORROW as well. Check the video below, from the SOTC CREW day at Northstar on Tuesday.
Come on up, and I guarantee you will have a great ski/ride vacation. We've just finished 7 days in a row, and if I didn't have to go to my Mom's for Christmas, we'd have 7 more in a row.
*The POW Will Come!
Yes, and with it, everyone and their brother. Come on up and enjoy the most relaxing, best weather, low crowd holiday ever.
*Forecast
Mike Pechner says it appears the storm door could open again around January 2nd, for what could be a moderate storm, the first real change in the weather. Until then, it is just icy cold at night, near perfect for snowmaking.
*The Skinny
Check the video if you want to get a preview of what you'll see this holiday. Sugar Bowl will offer a special price, and Boreal has great snow and great value. Want to ski/ride with Jonny Moseley? You can for FREE, daily during the holiday at 2pm at wonderful Squaw Valley.
Did you know we have one of the best boot fitters on the planet right here in the Bay Area? Greg Whitehouse, from California Ski Company in Berkeley, is the John Madden of skiing. Watch the video below to see how Greg makes old boots new again!
*SOTC Rocking On Facebook
What's hot on our Facebook? Daily CREW updates on conditions, deals, tips and more on resorts across the USA. See the latest CREW video and we're always "lurking" around, even while on the mountain so we can answer any questions!

Is happy to announce the on-mountain connection between Nevada and California today. Please note there is still no connection between California and Nevada but the free shuttle busses run between all three base lodges throughout the day. Snowmakers blasted snow on Boulder Bowl, California Trail, Round-a-bout, Groove and Skyline Trail last night.
21 trails were groomed over night making that fresh corduroy. Snow base depth is from 18in-24in.
